Weevils belong to the Family curculionidae, the third-largest animal family, with over 40,000 species described worldwide.
Weevils can be easily recognised by the long rostrum or snout, an elongated part of the front portion of the head.
This beautiful specimen was excavated in El Cabao Mine (Summer 2014).
